Choosing a gym - 'Big brand' or not?

Choosing a gym can be difficult...... do you choose a well known 'big brand' gym, do opt for an 'one off' independent gym, or do you use your local leisure centre?

David Lloyd Leisure is one of the leading racquets, health & fitness club group in the UK with approximately 60 clubs across the country . Additional facilities include health & beauty spas, club lounges with free internet access, creches, nurseries and specialist sports shops. Memberships rates are typically quite expensive as you would expect for a quality outfit such as this.

DC Leisure Logo

D C Leisure specialises in the development and management of leisure facilities of a large number of Local Authorities throughout the UK. The quality and range of facilities on offer including complementary services is generally very good.

The Esporta Group operates over 50 health and leisure clubs in the UK and Ireland providing market-leading facilities and services to the premium segment of the health and leisure market. Although expensive, the facilities are generally fantastic. Racquet sports are also catered for.

LA Fitness has more than 88 clubs and over a quarter of a million members all over the United Kingdom. The facilities on offer are very good and the membership rates competitively priced. The atmosphere in most LA fitness gyms is welcoming, young and vibrant.

Next Generation Health Clubs Logo

Next Generation Clubs is one of the UK's leading group of racquets, health and fitness Clubs, offering an extensive range of sports, fitness and recreational facilities for the whole family. Club are located across the whole of the UK, from Dundee in Scotland down to Bristol.

Spirit Health Clubs Logo

Spirit Health & Fitness operates over 40 health clubs across the UK. The company prides itself on providing quality facilities that are non-intimidating and cater for all ages. Spirit Health Clubs is part of the InterContinental Hotels Group.
