Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to gas mark 4 / 180 °C. Peel and core the apples and slice. Then place the slices into a small shallow baking dish. Sprinkle over 10g of Light Muscovado sugar, 10g of sweetener and the cinnamon. Mix together well and then level off.
  2. Next make the crumble mixture. Add the flour, margarine and the remainder of the Light Muscovado sugar and artificial sweetener to a mixing bowl. Using your fingers, rub the margarine into the flour, sugar and sweetener until the mixture looks like rough breadcrumbs.
  3. Empty the crumble mixture on to the apples and spread evenly.
  4. Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and crisp.
